The Einspanier Family Welcomes You to Delta
Lodge!
In
the late 1940s, Wes Rhinehart and his wife, “Ike,” moved into an old
two-story house (the “Animal House”) on a pristine glacial lake in the heart
of the forest. They lived on the first floor and rented out rooms on the
second floor to vacationers. During the 25 years of ownership, they built
nine cabins and the lodge which hosts a game room and lounge area. The
current owners, Marilyn and Andy Einspanier, added a cabin in ’93 (#11), a
cabin in ’96 (#12), and a cabin in 2005 (“Cliffside”).
The Rhineharts had a vision of what vacationers (then and now) want in a
cabin – lake frontage, large windows, spacious interiors, well-kept grounds
and a main lodge in which to escape cabin fever. This vision has transcended
generations, as the children of yesteryear are introducing their children
and grandchildren to nature, recreation and relaxation in the forest.
During our nineteen years as owners, we have maintained and improved the
grounds, cabins and lodge in the tradition of Wes and Ike. For those of you
who want to include various activities in your vacation, we suggest and
arrange day trips – fishing with a guide, horseback riding, mountain bike
riding, touring the Apostle Islands, shopping for gifts and antiques,
etc….We welcome you to Delta Lodge!
